Milpitas families and neighbors,
As a resident, worker, and community advocate deeply invested in our town's future, I am proud to announce my first-time campaign for Mayor of Milpitas.
Looking at the current landscape of our local government, and echoing the urgent discussions highlighted across our community and local news platforms,it is clear our city faces critical growing pains. From recent friction between city leadership and our public safety personnel to ongoing challenges with senior executive retention and municipal budget management, we cannot afford business as usual.
If elected your Mayor, my administration will focus on practical, collaborative solutions:
-
Restoring Organizational Stability: Addressing the high turnover of senior executive staff and bridging gaps within city leadership. We must ensure the City Council stays focused on high-level policymaking while fully supporting our City Manager and city staff in managing day-to-day operations effectively.
-
Public Safety & Community Trust: Prioritizing fully-funded police and emergency services, strengthening lines of communication between local leadership and our public safety unions, and enhancing traffic and parking enforcement to keep our neighborhoods secure.
-
Fiscal Responsibility & Economic Fairness: Building on sound budgeting practices, such as reducing structural deficits without cutting core services, while advocating for fair business structures and local funding measures that relieve pressure on everyday residents and small businesses.
-
Balanced Growth & Quality of Life: Addressing state-mandated housing requirements responsibly by protecting the distinct character of our established neighborhoods, maintaining our parks and roads, and keeping Milpitas affordable.
Milpitas deserves a fresh, transparent approach to leadership, one that listens to residents, respects municipal workers, and unites the community. I respectfully ask for your trust and your vote to build a stable, prosperous future for Milpitas together.
